I’ve been curious about this intersection of religion in Taiwan’s history. I know that the Tzu Chi Jing Si Abode is also in the Xincheng township, and I am curious how that organization and Buddhism have played a role in the history of development in Hualien. Do you have any pointers about digging into that history of Buddhism or Tzu Chi in the area?
